The place overlooks the Taal lake and the islands therein; and, has a mild and cool climate with a breeze from Taal lake. The place is rural and very quiet. It is considered a bird sanctuary where Philippine birdwatching groups consider for their birdwatching activities. Unlike the view from the opposite side of the lake in Tagaytay, this place has a majestic view of a mountain slope on your side descending all the way down to the lake, in addition to a panoramic view of lake.

It is reputed to be a very quiet and peaceful place and home to some religous homes. It has become popular among Metro Manila residents for building their leisure homes because of its relaxing and very quiet atmosphere; and of course, for it's breath taking view.
Despite its rural and quiet location, it is not far from the city where you will find world class golf courses. Shopping centers and malls belonging to the Robinson's and SM groups are also close by. The area is also along the route to Batangas City, which is the gateway to Mindoro where the popular Puerto Galera is found, and where the newly built Batangas International Port is found. This is the same route of the Philippine Nautical Highway to the Visayas and Mindanao.
